About Hailey
I have always felt drawn to birth, even when I didn’t yet have the words for it. Life took me in other directions for a while, but something about birth always felt sacred and powerful. When I experienced the birth of my son, that spark and calling to birth work came rushing back.
After 26 months of infertility, I began my pregnancy filled with excitement, but also absolutely terrified of the birthing process itself. I knew early on that I would need support, and I found that through my doula and my childbirth education classes. Having someone in my corner made all the difference.
Through learning and unlearning, asking questions, and even switching providers in my third trimester, birth transformed from something that felt overwhelming and frightening into something deeply empowering. That experience continues to shape the way I support families today.
As a professionally trained birth doula serving families in the Richmond, Virginia area, my greatest hope for every person and family I have the privilege of working with is that they truly know their options. When we understand our choices, we are able to make informed decisions, no matter what curveballs arise during pregnancy or birth.
Whether you’re planning a home birth, a hospital birth, or navigating higher levels of medical intervention, informed decisions paired with open hands can lead to an empowered birth experience.
If you’re preparing for birth and want support that feels calm, informed, and nonjudgmental, I’d love to connect.
